The Parasol Laboratory in the Department of Computer Science at Texas A&M University has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research associate in the area of parallel processing. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has significant experience writing parallel programs using C++ and STL with MPI and OpenMP directives.
The successful candidate will work with a group of faculty and motivated graduate students on a large, DOE funded project on production quality parallel C++ libraries and advanced run-time systems for small to extreme scale parallel architectures. Interaction with faculty and graduate students, academia and industry and publication in scientific conferences and journals is strongly encouraged.
Qualifications: A PhD in Computer Science or a related field. A good knowledge of parallel algorithms and architectures, Unix based operating systems, Run-Time Systems, C++ and STL is required.
Salary and Benefits: Highly competitive salary plus full health and other benefits. Position is renewable subject to yearly evaluation.
