Week 5

I summarized the results from last week as a web page (not published yet).

After discussing the results we decided to find experimental data for another Protein. The first thought was finding data for 1TCP, but I had trouble finding something. So, we decided taking 1GB1 instead.

I found the following paper:

Soon-Ho Park, Karyn T. O’Neil, and Heinricht Roder. An Early Intermediate in the Folding Reaction of the B1 Domain of Protein G Contains a Native-like Core. Biochemistry. 1997 Nov 25;36(47):14277-83, 1997.

The experimental Fluorescence data of 1GB1 is completely different from 2ABD.

I started to collect simulated fluorescence data (dominant Secondary Structure Formation Order Pathway again) for 1GB1, and started documenting the data.

Other than that, we are still preparing for WAFR by reading the papers. We meet once a week to talk about the papers, which helps me a lot for getting a better understanding.
