I came to Texas A&M University to pursue a Ph.D. thanks to a Fulbright/García-Robles scholarship. Previously, I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering, both from the Facultad de Ingeniería of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Since 2003 I am devoted to research.
I coordinated the AI & Robotics Seminar from January 2001 through February 2003, and the Parasol Seminar from March 2003 through August 2005 and from May through July 2006.
From January 2005 to December 2005 I was the president of the Texas A&M Fulbright Association.
