About Me:

I am Lakshmi Reddy B from INDIA. I am pursuing my engineering degree as part of my undergraduate studies at IIIT, Jabalpur located in central India. I have completed three years of my under graduate studies and if things go as planned, then I will be officially labelled an engineer in April, 2009 (with a B.Tech degree in Computer Science Engineering).


I have been offered the opportunity to pursue research work in the field of ROBOTICS this summer (Summer 2008). I will be specifically working on MOTION PLANNING at the PARASOL LAB in Texas A&M University, College Station who offered me this great opportunity. I will be working under the guidance of Dr. Nancy Amato and her graduate students Roger Pearce & Xiabing Xu. Dr. Amato's research interests includes Robotics, Motion Planning, Parallel & Distributed Computing (e.g. STAPL), and their applications. As part of summer internship at Texas A&M University, I will be offered a participatory role in the 10 week program called Research Experiences for Undergraduates(REU) organized by CS department and supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF). My primary objective in this REU program will be to present my research work through an illustrative POSTER.

In summer'07, I worked as an intern in IVYCOMPTECH, one of the leading online gaming companies, on Graphic-Designing at Hyderabad, India form 31st March to 31st July,2007. As an intern I,with the team of eight, accomplished project titled "Romanian Online Free-roll", which was aimed to launch a theme based promotion for PartyGaming products. During my internship,I worked on the design of various Web-pages,on-screen product prototypes, Banners and Mailers by understanding the design briefs and specifications and received appreciation letter for my ability to work in a team and focus on finishing the given project within the time frame.

Research Interests:

My research interests includes Robotics, Computer Graphics, Computer Networks, and HCI.


My hobbies includes Reading Books, Watching Movies, Playing outdoor Games like Cricket, Volley Ball, etc....
