I am PhD student studying motion planning under Dr. Nancy Amato. I received my bachelor's degree in 2011 from the TAMU Department of Physics , and subsequently worked for Intel as a manufacturing technician for two years. There I developed an interest in robotics that lead me to pursue a doctorate in Computer Science here at TAMU.

I am currently working on collaborative motion planning, which is a subsect of user guided planning that emphasizes two-way communication between a user and a planning algorithm. Our initial work in this area lead to the development of Region Steering, which is a collaborative planning technique where the user steers the planner by defining workspace regions in which to bias sampling, while the planner in turn displays its progress and estimates region usefulness. This method is published in the proceedings of WAFR 14.
