Hello my name is Ricardo Gonzalez, but you probably already knew that since its at the top... anyways, the school I currently attend is Jimmy Carter Early College High School. Im a rising senior in highschool and a sophmore in college, which is South Texas College. I intend to recive my major in computer science in 2015, this is also the same year I gradute from highschool. I'm helping out in the Computer science and Engineering department with Dr. Amato in motion planning. If you wish to contact me my e-mail is ricky1101080@gmail.com.

Mentor

My mentor is the awesome Nancy Amato, Dr. Amato went to school at Stanford university where she received undergraduate degrees in Mathematical Sciences and Economics, then a M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Amato is with the department of Computer science and Engineering (CSE). She researches in motion planning, robotics, computational biology, geometry, and parallel and distibuted computing. Here is the link to Dr. Amato's website Dr. Amato's website and a link to her bio Dr. Amato's Bio

Allthough I may not be working With Dr. Amato I'm greatful to be working with Read Sandstrom who is a PhD student of Nancy. Read will be my graduate mentor in motion planning, I feel that Read is a smart and comfortable person to talk to which will make this internship better.
