Rosie was born in Nevada. Lawrence visited and met her and her siblings and picked her because she was the trouble maker. We went back and picked her up when she was old enough to leave her mother -- and that was just on the weight limit for her to ride inside the plane (actually it was just over, but she was so adorable that the security folks let her through). She then spent the rest of her time with us in College Station, TX, with the exception of one awesome year we all spend in New York city when we were on sabbatical. Rosie was always so happy and irrepressible -- she always had trouble controlling herself when she got excited. Though she didn't like it when Nancy talked on the phone - that was her queue to start barking. Rosie had such a joyful spirit and everyone she met loved her - even during her last three months when she was battling cancer. We still miss her.
After spending most of her puppyhood in College Station, Texas, Rosie got to spend a year living in New York. She had quite a time. She enjoyed snow (though we learned the hard way that if she ate lots of snow she would need more trips outside...) and was a favorite of her dog walkers. Below are a few of our favorite photos (and movies), but you can see more here here.
